The recently introduced Document L2 Building Regulations are now a way of life for us, although it has taken the Building Industry as a whole, some time to understand how they should be applied. We have a good understanding of the Regulations, and now have computer software in place that enables us to achieve an instant 'U' value assessment at the estimating stage. With the introduction of new window & door systems and newly available soft-coated super-Low E glazing, we are ready for the next stage of the Regulations expected in 2005, which will increase the need to achieve even lower 'U' values in buildings than at present.
